Distance to Disney Parks: A 10 min Walk, 8 min by Free shuttle
First we will start with Hotel New York which like most of the other hotels in this video, opened with the Park in April, 1992. It was designed by the Architect Michael Graves who also designed the Swan and Dolphin Hotels at WDW. The interior has Art Deco style, and the exterior looks like a skyscraper filled skyline, so you will feel you are right in the heart of New York.

The lobby, restaurants and all rooms will include artwork of all the different Marvel characters. Hotel New York also has two bars. The ‘Skyline bar’ serves cocktails and will use screen technology to make it feel like you are really in New York. Keep an eye out, as you may see some special guests across the New York skyline!
The ‘Bleeker Street Lounge’ is a cool loft bar serving craft beers, organic wines and coffee with a beautiful view of Lake Disney.
Recreation facilities have also been updated throughout the hotel with the new Metro pool complex offering an indoor and outdoor pool, a kids pool and hot tub. They have a 24 hour fitness center and an outdoor fitness park for those with excess energy to burn.

The hotel also has a small shop called New York boutique where you can find many Marvel and Disney souvenirs and collectables.
With all these updates and just a ten minute walk to the parks, this makes it a great resort to stay at while in Disneyland Paris! The hotel is planned to re-open this summer, but due to the circumstances, it may be delayed until later in the year.

Disneyland Hotel 5*
Distance to Disney Parks: A 5 minute Walk
The final and most famous resort at Disneyland Paris is the Disneyland Hotel which opened with the park in April 1992. This luxury 5 star resort has an American-Victorian theme. Situated above the turnstiles and ticket booths of the Disneyland Park, it is as close to the park as you can get. Due to the proximity of this hotel, it was designed by the Walt Disney Imagineering team that also designed the Main Street USA as to fit in with the surroundings of the area.
All 496 rooms are luxuriously decorated and most offer amazing views of the Disneyland park. They also have larger suites for bigger groups.
The hotel features two restaurants and a bar:
‘Inventions’ décor is inspired by the creations of famous inventors like Jules Verne and Leonardo Da Vinci. It offers international buffets for all three meals with lunch and dinner being character dining, so you can dine along with meeting Mickey and pals.
‘California Grill’ is a californium-inspired fine dining restaurant overlooking the Main Street station. It offers an amazing selection of food and wines for you to enjoy.
‘Café Fantasia’ is a piano bar serving amazing cocktails and wines. The setting is based on, you guessed it, Fantasia, so expect to find all the weird and wonderful artwork inspired from the film.
This resort also offers an indoor heated pool, sauna, games room and for an extra cost specialized Spa treatments.
Overall the Disneyland Hotel is the most luxurious hotel in the whole of the Disneyland Paris Resort and fully deserves to be known as their ‘flagship hotel’. Of course it is expensive, but when compared to the flagship hotels at the other Disney resorts around the world, it’s pretty reasonable.

First, let’s take a look at the Toy Story Hotel.
This is the first Disney hotel based on a single franchise, and due to the huge popularity of the Toy Story films in China, it is a perfect fit.
If you are a fan of the films or any of the Toy Story lands around the world, then you will love the theming of this resort.
As you enter through the toy box entrance, you will come through to the brightly colored hotel lobby where you will find the reception, concierge and bell services. There is plenty of seating areas and of course the classic area for kids to watch some cartoons.
Throughout the day you may get a chance to meet your favorite Toy Story characters within special areas around the hotel, so keep a lookout for them. (or you can ask the front desk for a schedule of appearances and locations!)
Located off the main lobby, is the Lotso Shop This is the hotel’s only retail emporium where you’ll find a wide selection of Resort souvenirs, gifts, clothing and sundries. Specializing in Toy Story merchandise that features characters displayed around the store. This a great place to do some last minute shopping or to kill some time before waiting for a shuttle to the park. Also if you want to buy something in the Park or Disneytown and don’t want to carry it around with you, you can ask the Cast Member to deliver it to your hotel free of charge, and you will be able to collect it at the Lotso Shop at the end of the day.
Other recreation facilities include the Launch Pad, an interactive water play area that features the Toy Story aliens preparing to shoot off in a tin rocket while shooting mist from all angles.
Also kids aged 2-12 can enjoy the play room that offers lots of toys, a slide, and play equipment all inspired by the Toy Story films.

The Sunnyside Café offers a delicious breakfast and dinner buffet that caters to western and Asian tastes. When you book your hotel, you can choose to purchase an early bird voucher for the buffet breakfast which will give you a 25% saving, so if you plan to have breakfast at the hotel, make sure you check your reservation before completing your booking. The hotel also has the Sunnyside Market which offers salads, sandwiches and snacks for guests that like to eat-on-the-go. Drinks and some snacks can also be found in the Lotso Shop next to the lobby.
All the rooms can take up to 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years old, but they do offer connecting rooms if you have a larger party size.
The rooms are themed to Andy’s bedroom, so you can find the classic cloud wallpaper and sheriff woody carpet as well colorful furniture and awesome rubix cube bedside table.
They also include a TV, mini-fridge and all the usual bathroom facilities, so you will be comfortable in these well-sized rooms.
The price depends on your window-view selection, of which you can choose a garden view, courtyard view or the most expensive Shanghai Disneyland Park view, and remember they offer a 20% discount if you book a stay for 2 or more nights. For you to compare, here are the prices for all three rooms for a 2 night stay for two adults and two children in September 2020.
The Toy Story Hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, Wishing Star Park and Disneytown (which is also the entrance of the Shanghai Disneyland Park!)
Overall, I think the Toy Story Hotel is a great place to stay for families with young Children, or a couple who are travelling on a budget.

Now we move onto the hotel’s dining options, of which there is a great selection. We start with Aurora, a fine dining experience which offers a 4, 5 or 6 course set menu of modern Asian cuisine that is a feast to the senses. It also offers a great selection of wine and an amazing view of the park.
Next is Lumiere’s Kitchen, which is a Buffet restaurant that offers character dining for breakfast and dinner to the amazing theming of Beauty and the Beast. They offer a wide variety of cuisines, like noodles, congee, cereals, pastries, bacon and eggs for breakfast and Sushi, BBQ, pizza, Tandoori, Dim sum, a fish platter and a cold meat station for dinner, so there is plenty of choice to please everyone!
If you want to dine quickly, or buy something to take away, then head to the Ballet Café, which offers breakfast burrito, noodles and congee for breakfast and pizzas, noodles and rice dishes for lunch and dinner. You can choose to sit-in the dining room where you can enjoy the delightful design—featuring the ballerina hippo from the hilarious “Dance of the Hours” sequence of Disney’s Fantasia.
If you want to unwind after a long day at the park, you can head to Bacchus Lounge, for a cocktail, a glass of wine or a bottle of beer. Themed after the god of parties and merriment, Bacchus was also featured in Fantasia. You can also celebrate the day with Special Lunch Sets, High Tea pastries, savories and high-end snack foods that will send your senses soaring.
There is a huge selection of rooms to cater for all budgets. The deluxe rooms offer a garden, lake or park view and are all beautifully decorated especially with the magical headboard. If you’re a fan of the Frozen movies, then you will love the Frozen themed rooms which are offered along with the deluxe rooms and they all have two double beds and a pull down bed so they can sleep up to 3 adults and two children.
You can choose to stay in their club-level room which will give you access to the Magic Kingdom club lounge for a complimentary breakfast and drinks and snacks throughout the day.

This hotel is for anyone that likes to travel to Disney in style, it is costly, but as most people will only stay for one or two nights, I think it is a great way to make your vacation that extra bit special.
